6 months after brain surgery
I am back at work now, and I guess you could say I'm back to normal. Brain tumor removed 10/16/09, pseudomeningocele 11/20/09.
- I still feel dizzy (see previous post about possible nerve damage) and am on Oxcarbezapine. Sometimes I feel better, other times I feel exactly the same - dizzy and nauseated.
- I still have one small scab that won't seem to go away. Neurosurgeon said initially it was a stitch under the skin that would dissolve, and it may be slowly, as the bump is slowly decreasing in size.
- My head still has numbness, but I can feel most of it. Where before it was seemingly dead to all feeling, I can feel taps and breeze on it again.
- That being said - my scalp feels tender and causes me some pain and discomfort, particularly when sleeping. It's hard to get comfortable again. (I typically sleep on my side, of course on the side that was operated on.)
- My scar still itches. Not as bad as when it was scabbing, but where I have to rub it for it to go away.
- Handicapped parking pass expires at the end of the month.
